tactical jacket 1.0

this jacket senses touch through its embroidered conductive fibers.

It was made solely to listen for (detect) and remember (log) any touch action made upon it.

it was made to visualize and better understand sentimental communications that happen regularly in a community.

it pulls from and advances research by Hertenstein et. al. into the phenomenon of feeling being communicated through specific, localized touch actions.

this is version 1.0, with 16 embroidered sensor rows and 2 microcontrollers.

as yet the tactical jacket has no aspirations for live-tracking, app integration, or surveillance.

it is a sometimes friend, a soft item to help make space for your feelings.
